Community Service Drive - Sewa for Society

Embrace the spirit of Sewa (selfless service) by joining AoHO's monthly community service drive. Together, we make a difference in the lives of those who need support.

Service Activities

• Food Bank Support: Pack and distribute food parcels to local families
• Clothing Drive: Collect and organize donated clothes for homeless shelters
• Elderly Care: Visit nursing homes and spend time with senior citizens
• Neighborhood Cleanup: Environmental service keeping our community clean
• Tutoring: Help underprivileged children with their homework
• Hospital Visits: Bring comfort to patients in local hospitals

Schedule & Locations

Date: October 12, 2025 (Second Saturday of every month)

• 9:00 AM - Registration at AoHO Center
• 9:30 AM - Team assignments and briefing
• 10:00 AM - Depart to service locations
• 12:30 PM - Return and community lunch
• 1:30 PM - Closing and feedback session

• Local Food Bank - London Bridge
• St. Mary's Homeless Shelter - Camden
• Sunshine Nursing Home - Islington
• Green Parks Environmental Initiative
• Community Learning Center - Southwark

What to Bring

• Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes
• Water bottle
• Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
• Positive attitude and willingness to serve
• Any donations (food, clothes, books)

Age Requirements

• Ages 8-15: Must be accompanied by parent/guardian
• Ages 16+: Can volunteer independently
• Families encouraged to participate together

FREE Event - Lunch and refreshments provided to all volunteers. All necessary equipment and safety gear provided.
